The Persistence of Existence
Paintings by Liz Mazurek
11th April to 1st May
Open Saturdays and Sundays, or by appointment.
1590 Highlands Rd, Whiteheads Creek
Opening the 11th April 2010 from 2pm onwards.
RSVP before Tuesday 6th April
Three course Spanish dinner ($40/head) available from 5pm - 57969366 to book.
The Persistence of Existence, Liz Mazurek's first solo exhibition, is a reflection on living with cancer. It is a journey through the despair of discovery ... to recovery, the restructuring and rebuilding of self. It is a clearer vision, that now pushes Liz to explore the creative aspects of living life to the full. -->

Vintage

How lucky were we!
After a very rainy and sleepless Friday night, the skies cleared so that we could pick on Saturday
... berries all sound and full-flavoured, although a little wet.
Could have been much worse!
We have had a huge downpour yesterday ... the creek broke its banks and logs were seen floating down it!
Got the job done with 20 friends and 7 contract pickers.
We went Latin and kept it simple for the evening meal ...
albondigas (Vic's lovely pork and herbs meatballs in a rich tomato sauce) ... and a vegetarian lasagna
... all with herbed potatoes; broccoli and asparagus (thanks Pete for taking over the veg!).
For dessert ... an almond cake with an orange liquor syrup, cream/icecream.

Wine, food and good company under the verandah on a pleasantly warm evening, with a storm building up all around us.
